Client requirement:

 We were approached by the team of TCS to produce an explainer video for the launch of their software TCS TwinX. Generally, the industry scale operations, process variables, and their interrelationships are multifarious. To resolve the complexities in business decision-making and execution, TCS TwinX offers evidence-based insights in real-time. Our task was to create a captivating  promotion video to explain how TCS Twinx works, what are the various enterprise spheres accommodated under this TwinX, and how it stands as a unique software product in the market. All these video processes deserve the digital theme for the prolific upshot.

 

How we planned:

As part of the work routine, we discussed and took more references to complete this video project. First and foremost the script was given by the team of TCS. Along with the script, they offered a sample reference and color combinations. It was a plain theme. So, we meticulously planned the visuals and storyboard. We thought the usage of 2D animation would be apt for the end result.

Project Challenges:

Once the storyboard and the sample panel works were completed and sent to the client for approval. The client felt that the sample panel work on their given plain theme seems to be stark. How to select the next colors, planning the other sample panel, and delivering the satisfying video in a committed time bound was the greatest challenge. So, our team splits to carry the load and work efficiently to complete the cherished project.

 

How we did it:

So, our team again discussed and took multiple references to work on the video. Having a base of their logo color, we took more samples. Initially, the clients hesitated to change their planned color after showing multiple eye-catching work samples we won over their opinion and they approved their blue-based theme color. After we planned the working hypothesis, our clients also eagerly took our suggestion and gave their opinion on visuals. As per the client’s requirement, we used 3D animation to highlight the work processes as well as the special features.

Solution:

While working on the project, our team initially tried the 2D animation particle usage as the background. Most of the phases followed with the 2D particles and gave a strong bond between the script and visual. To match the digital theme, the object particle swirls, and screening of the contents, and balancing the theme color with a blend of other colors perfectly grab the flow, and the outcome of the video was heart-appealing for the clients. The team of TCS was very amiable, though they have their own animation team, to get the unique outlook and different perspective on their idea they approached us.

Result:

As per their expectation, the video comes out as an exclusively new one from their habitual working style. To cross-check the product process, three different client teams gave their suggestions and opinions. After a few minor corrections and two sittings of video revision, our  Product promotion video was approved by the team of TCS. There is no barrier to unleash your creativity. Our team’s unanimous workflow always reflects in this project.

Yaanu- World’s first contactless robot bar

Overview:

Technology advances every day and brings an array of improvements in every activity. But what happens when a futuristic robotic bartender takes over the bars, cafes, airports, restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, and entertainment venues? YANU – a fully autonomous AI and robot-empowered bartending unit. It can prepare 100 to 150 drinks per day. Approximately it takes 24 to 36 seconds per drink. Yanu possesses a Customer Identification Algorithm and knows a lot of beverage recipes. So, easily interact with the customer and obtain their drink preferences.

Client requirement:

Alan Adojaan- the founder of Yanu, ran a night club for 15 years. It was really a hard, and turbulent phase, but it brings him the idea of optimizing the drinking industry with futuristic advantages. After all, the pandemic is the real kick-starter of this tool. Now, people are using Yanu with the comfort of a contactless bar. Yanu designs to decrease the waiting time. So, our client wanted an engaging video that should clearly explain Yanu’s work process. It not only stands as an explainer video yet emphasizes the importance of Yanu to global investors. However, they required the video to create in five different languages.

How we planned:

We’ve worked on more compelling videos for clients from a handful of industries, products, software, apps yet somewhat Yanu is our first robotic project. Our team was very enthusiastic, and to get the ball roll we took many references. We decided to use 2D animation. After getting the storyboard, we cut to the chase. Our client was very emphatic at framing the Yanu robot in a realistic glimpse. So, we got the reference and explored the model through the website. Designing the Yanu robot in the 2D style with realistic check-out is the major accomplishment of this project.

Project Challenges:

Obviously, it was a futuristic concept, and the project challenges start from the script correction. However, it was drafted by the client but pursuing the best took almost two sittings. Maintaining the story flow of and cut shot of scripts was certainly obscure at some points without any doubts. Later our sample panel was designed on the basis of the given reference. To complete the illustration part of the video had taken eight days. Combining the robotic concept with the blockchain investment was utterly heterogeneous but, we need to balance them without any slope. We gracefully designed the 2D image of the robot but representing the spin with 2D was sturdy.

 

 

Solution:

Presenting the actual motion of the robot with 2D, and swirl was the hardcore of this project. But we represented the real-world Yanu image and its spinning as alive. Initially, we planned to integrate the white-colored object of Yanu. But the breezy background elements failed to crystallize the central object of the video. We later changed it into glowing red. It was a noteworthy change but still offering a majestic and realistic outlook to the whole video. To furnish the integrity usage of the blockchain, cryptocurrency market, database significance placed through different colors and shapes. After the client signed off the storyboard, we spared our valuable time for team discussion, and wavering ideas and implements were the best solution.

 

 

Result:

The pinnacle of our robotic project was conserved with the planned time frame. Conveying futuristic technology with an apt animation style was prosperously completed. Within this tightly drawn horizon, our video gets its limelight among the global investors. Having this video as a vibrant business reference, fundraising, team expansion, and marketing all had been done in a short span of time. Now, Yanu raises $1 million of investment for its robotic bartender with a glassy video idea. Accepting the tough challenges and completes them with supremacy is the golden line of this project ever!

ZAPR- Real Time Surveys

Client:

Zapr- Real Time Surveys is a chart-topping budding media-tech company based in Bangalore. The derivation of Zapr starts a consumer-facing firm to figure out the user-engaging TV programs. Later, the transition like using the ACR (Audio Content Recognition) and other fine-tune technologies makes them a tech giant. They can measure the smartphone users’ active engagement on Radio, Music, OTT, Games, and TV viewership ratio in real-time. This ratio provides actionable insight and changes the advertising ecosystem in a revolutionary way. Having perfect, accurate, and real-time data orientation, Zapr can resolve the inefficiencies in the media and advertising industry.

Project:

Our client proposed to make an attention-grabbing video based on the biggest sport event FIFA-2018, and one of India’s leading automobile company TATA Motors. It was the explainer video created to highlight Zapr’s FIFA marketing campaign for their client TATA Motors’ new launch TATA ACE GOLD. The campaign was a very successful one. So, the explainer video should out speak the ad campaign, its engagement, instant reach, impressions, conversions, sales and all have come to the top and similarly, the animated explainer video follows the video script.

How we did it:

The script was handed over by our client. After getting the script, we heedfully listened to the idea and expectation of our client’s on the upcoming video. They primarily provided the video footage that needs to join up with the animation video. We roughly started to sketch the storyboard and cautiously noted where the video footage to be placed and where to use the animation works to specify without the scratch of the given script. However, we planned to use the 2D animation style to match the live-action video mere in this video concept. We already made marketing campaign videos, yet the idea of video footage with animation presentation was a novel brainchild.

Project Challenges:

Every project is challenging in its own ways. Certainly, it was a huge step forward from our prior works. The subject matter of the explainer video was challenging too. Balancing the script, given video as well as travel around the concept were the real working challenges. The client wanted to use the football match as the initiatory concept. So, we discussed with our crew and their part of the work was assigned among them. To match the upcoming slide, timeline, and voice-over we took almost four references but the only one was perfectly suited to the scene.

 

 

Solution:

After completion of illustration storyboard work, we send it to the clients and they approve it. While working on the animation we faced some additional challenges. While animating the video, the color scheme was chosen by the client. But when it came to the work of animation they felt that it was blazing. So, the animation crew discussed it with the client and suggested changing it to a lighter version. After getting the approval we worked on the changes. It was really prettier than before which was peak change and easily gelled with the flow of the live-action video. After changing the color scheme, we met a pitfall between the voice-over as well as the video. Sometimes, there was a need to extend the video clips to match the voice-over as well as cut shot the videos to balance the short-term voice-overs. But fortunately, the Zapr team was very convivial; they really loved the outcome.

Result:

At the initial time of taking on a new project, there were so many things to consider. In this project, more things were balanced. Though it was strained with too many limitations, we learned a lot. The artistic animation part can be minimized, but it spectacularly carried the whole video. Our animation team, a fine-tune of software, and the other factors made this project distinctive.

CASE STUDY- ZOHO CREATOR

Overview:

In 2021, Zoho is a well-known Indian business software solution company successively functioning over more than twenty years and taking Microsoft as a lead competitor to win. They created more than 40+ business software with 50 million users across the world. The team of Zoho Creator asked for an explainer video, that spells out how advantageous Zoho Creator is.

Client requirement:

Zoho offering multiple business software tools to every business structure. But creating ERP solutions for manufacturing is a highly meticulous task. The Zoho team approached us to animate a product promotion video to introduce their newly launch ERP software “Zoho Creator”. The video should explain what is Zoho Creator?, its functionality, benefits, how it eases the ERP process?, and it should create an awareness of Zoho ERP software used in manufacturing units.

  • The production of the video should combine the glossy look, newness, and originality
  • The client prefers both 2D and 3D usage of animation to illustrate the script
  • Story script already developed by our client and it was given.

How we planned:

Once we got the script lines, our team started to draft the rough visual sketch based on the given story script. There are multiple references and ideas on a central character that we had taken into account.

Project Challenges:

After the completion of the sample plan, the client felt to change the digital presentation. They wanted to change the usage of character representation in the video. It was the greatest challenge and our team was constrained to think of a new idea and that should be the best than the previous one. We used to analyze multiple references to get the best result. We finally concluded to use 2D and 3D – visual objects instead of the animated characters. At the time of finalizing the concept, our client totally skeptical about this new idea. As a pioneer in the field of animation, they already tried this idea though that was not brought out well.

How we did it

To professionally convince the client there are multiple references were taken for our workflow, with the reference of those samples, the illustration works were completed. When the illustration works delivered to the client, they were fully satisfied with the exact outcome of the idea but still skeptical whether it is exactly transformed into the final animation video or not. As per the client requirement, we don’t include any facial features. After, much research on the ERP software technology, and platform we chose multiple objective elements. In terms of style, we tried simple shapes and their transformations to convey the full idea of this video.

Solution:

We paid meticulous care to shapes and their motion until they animated prolifically. Once the animation work had completed, we re-examine the script to ensure the change of objects brings liveliness to the story. That’s why the animation works blend from one scene to the other scene. Taking the reference of the client’s branding colors and Zoho dashboards, we animated some new design elements to flourish and showcased the dynamic brand name thorough out the video. Zoho’s team was very supportive, they had trust in our skill. Workspace, comfort zone, work freedom, flexibility, endurance, and taking more care of our suggestions all were the success factors of this product promotion video.

 

Result:

Once we completed the voice over it exactly matched the idea of our client. We had received good, positive, and satisfied feedback from ours. While developing the storyboard, we took into consideration of simple  2D 3D animation shapes, transformations, and seamless transitions in each scene to create a sophisticated, technological & posh outcome that matches the Zoho Creator- ERP software concept. Think smart, implement the best! – a golden line we learned from this project.
