Trip.com is a global travel management service with an all-in-one booking app. Their challenge? Many users were unaware of how to use the app for multiple purposes—flights, hotels, trains, and more. The features were powerful but also complex, leaving users uncertain about the value.
To solve this, Trip.com needed an explainer video that could demonstrate how the app supports travellers throughout their journey. The goal wasn’t just to show features, but to make the experience simple and relatable, while highlighting realtime booking notifications as the key differentiator.
That’s when they approached Picto Design Studio. We took their challenge as our own and created a video built around the natural flow of a traveller’s journey, turning complexity into clarity.
We crafted a 2D animated, story-driven explainer that follows a traveller’s seamless journey from booking a hotel in his hometown, to flying, taking a train, and finally meeting a Trip.com employee at the destination. Along the way, motion graphic notifications highlight updates realtime , turning a complex app into an easy-to-grasp travel companion.
The coordination was smooth and collaborative:
